The body is slim, the tail long and the paws are small and oval. The head is short, relatively wide and wedge shaped with a pertruding chikbone, short nose and robust chin.

Fur

The fur is curly or wave-like and contains almost only of the undercote as fur wool, but remains of cover- or treadlike hair can remain on some cats. This makes perfect for not shedding almost any hair. Devon Rex fur does not demand very much care and the loose strands of hair that exist can easily be removed through stroking your cat with a damp cloth or hands. You can also bath your cat to remove loose strands of hair.

Eyes and Ears

Devon Rex eyes are large and oval. Cats get, just like humans, a bit of smudge or gue in the corner of the eye. You can easily remove it with you finger or a damp cloth.
The ears on a Devon Rex are large and does not have much earhair to keep the filth out. Therefore you must clean them regularly. Use lukewarm water (or possibly ear clenser without alcohol) and cottonpads that are used as make-up removers. Damp a cottonpad in lukewarm water and carefully clean the externalear. It is important that you do not clean too far down in the ear canal, since it can hurt the cat and damage its ears.
If you have two cats they will clean eachothers ears, to a certain degree.
