Devon Rex are sometimes called allergy cats, due to that many people that are allergic to cats acctually aren't allergic to Devon Rex. If you think you are allergic to cats, and do meet a cat, it is not certain that you emediately will get a symptom of allergy. It is common that it takes a few hours before any symptoms arises.
Before you buy a Devon Rex it is best that you visit a breeder to test sniff the cats to see if you are allergic or not.
To minimize the allergy risk you can do the following:
* Bath your cat once a week
* Do not let your cat be in the bedroom
* Wash the cat's bed and blankets often
* Clean your home often
* Get an aircleaner.
